Ahmedabad based architect starts beautification project in his native village

In an excellent initiative, Ahmedabad based architect Dilip Soni has through his team started beautification project in a pocket of his village Malpur in Arvalli district.
Malpur near Modasa is surrounded by small hills on three sides. The village is situated on the bank of river Vatrak.
A village with 7,000 population is witnessing beautification efforts in its pocket located between Limda chowk and Khadia chowk. Walls of this street are colored in uniform pattern. They are decorated with attractive paintings depicting rural life and religious themes. A group of over dozen artists are involved in decoration and renovation work in area of one km.
Dilipbhai said he has chosen this village for ‘welcome to home’ project at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh because he belongs to this village. He said his mother is from this place and his father has worked as post-master here. He said he will pump in Rs. 25 lakh more in future for making the area livable.
Malpur gram panchayat sarpanch Ashaben Mehta said the village will get new identity through this beautification project.
