7 new districts in Gujarat to get their own panchayat body

Ahead of the Panchayat election season in last quarter of next year, the Gujarat government has completed finaly procedure of formation of new districts.
Panchayat department of Government of Gujarat has on Wednesday asked old districts to cancel the membership of panchayat members who belong to the areas of new district. Elected members of old district will become member of panchayat of new district.
As an example 7 members of Bhavnagar district panchayat and 4 members of Ahmedabad district panchayat will now become members of Botad district panchayat. General board of new district panchayat bodies will meet in next fifteen days or so.
Next move will be appointments of District Development Officers(DDO) in new districts.
New districts were formed a year ago, however separate district panchayat bodies will come to existance only now.
