Mount Abu Winter Festival to begin tomorrow

The annual two-day Winter Festival featuring boat racing at Nakki lake and trekking will start off from tomorrow in the state’s only hill station Mount Abu.
The festival, organized by Department of Tourism, will also have activities like cultural caravan, competitions, yoga, meditation, dance, song games, volleyball and basketball.
Puppet, magic and dog shows will also be featured, a statement released by the Department of Tourism said today.
The Winter Festival is held every year during the month of December and celebrates the warmth and cheerfulness of the people, it said.
Mount Abu is located at the southern western end of the princely state of the desert state of Rajasthan.
At a distance of about 185 km from Udaipur, the hill station is famous for several temples, the most prominent being Delwara temples and Nakki Lake.
