Additional Senior Civil Judge, on December 24, 2014, disposed-off the application seeking stay against Reliance Jio’s tower installation at Gayatri Society area at Anjar in Kutchh. The judgment has paved the way for providing 4G telecom services in Anjar area.
Reliance Jio is a flagship telecom company of Shri Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries Ltd, which has obtained licenses for providing 4G telecom services in 22 states including Gujarat. As a part of project implementation, work of setting up mobile pole was initiated at Gayatri Society in Anjar, which was objected by some residents. They also approached Additional Senior Civil Court and filed a suit against the company demanding permanent stay on installation of mobile tower.
After hearing both the parties, the Court dismissed the appeal demanding permanent stay. The petitioner had represented that the mobile tower installation in residential areas poses health risks. The court dismissed the arguments as baseless.
After the judgment of the Additional Senior Civil Judge, the company will be in a position to expedite tower installation work paving way for providing advanced telecom service in Anjar and other parts of Kutchh.
Reliance Jio plans to enable end-to-end solutions that address the entire value chain across various digital services in key domains of national interest such as, education, healthcare, security, financial services, government-citizen interfaces and entertainment. It aims to create a digital ecosystem which can be used to benefit the government, the industry and, above all, the people of this country.
