Haryana CM announces slew of measures for Hisar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced a slew of incentives, including development of an existing airstrip as a full-fledged airport, establishment of a solid waste management plant and a cow sanctuary, for Hisar district.

Khattar, who was addressing BJP workers and later addressed the grievances of the people here, also announced to construct a multi-storey parking on 2.5 acres of land in the town, a government college in Uklana and special development grants of Rs 10 crore each for Narnaund, Hansi and Nalwa tehsils.

He also announced a discretionary grant of Rs six crore for development of Hisar town and Rs 2 crore to Municipal committee, Narnaund.

Khattar said Hisar aerodrome will be developed as an airport and the work on this mega project has already been commenced.

The Central government has already conducted survey for the runway and other requirements of the airport are being cleared, he stated.

The Chief minister also said that to manage the huge waste of Hisar city, a plant for recycling of waste is going to be set up near Sirsa road and land for this big project has already been acquired.

Government recommended promulgation of an ordinance making significant changes in the Act including removal of consent clause for acquiring land for five areas of industrial corridors, PPP projects, rural infrastructure, affordable housing and defence.
