Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA), GESIA sign MoU

Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association – GESIA signed significant MoUs with two countries namely Taiwan and Netherlands on Monday during ‘Vibrant Gujarat 2015′. GESIA signed the first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, Taiwan (TEEMA).
The purpose of the MoU between GESIA & TEEMA is to work cohesively to promote Gujarat as an ideal destination of the IT and Electronic Enterprises. GESIA and TEEMA agreed to jointly investigate setting up a Centre for Excellence in e-Governance to support innovation, growth and implementation of IT in Gujarat, with special focus on e-governance projects. The MoU signifies that both GESIA and TEEMA agree to provide technology, design and industry guidance, as appropriate, in helping conceptualize the infrastructure to support an IT and Electronic cluster in Gujarat.
This MoU was jointly signed by Mr. Francis Tsai, Chairman, India Economic and Trade Committee and Mr. Jay Ruparel, President, GESIA. Both GESIA and TEEMA also agreed to jointly investigate building of content to develop the manpower required to aid the growth of the IT and Electronic Cluster in Gujarat.
GESIA signed another significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Netherlands Centrum voor Handelsbevordering (Netherlands Council For Trade Promotion) on Monday. This was jointly signed by Mr. Jan Siemons, Director, Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion (NCH) and Mr. Vivek Ogra, Sr. V.P., GESIA.
The MoU between GESIA and NCH will endeavor to promote Gujarat as an investment destination for IT and Electronics enterprises. Wherever desirous, respective members and associates of both organizations will be introduced to explore possibility of collaboration and joint venture amongst themselves. GESIA and NCH shall jointly investigate setting up various joint initiatives and projects to support innovation, growth and implementation of IT in Gujarat. Both have agreed to facilitate inbound and outbound delegations to respective countries and arrange B2B meeting for members and associates of the visiting delegation. Both will help facilitate investment and collaboration in their respective countries by facilitating members of the other party for any requirements of infrastructure, liasioning, technology exchange, office space and basic setup and working needs.
These two MoUs signed recently shall go a long way in GESIA’s sole purpose of propelling the growth of ICT Industry in Gujarat by opening new frontiers for ICT sector in particular.
