A day after death of three persons in communal violence in Hansot village of Bharuch district of central Gujarat over minor issue, Gujarat Police has mobilized 6 companies of State Reserve Police(SRP) to Hansot. This small village has presence of over 300 police men at present which includes SP, DySPs, Police Inspectors and 24 Police Sub Inspectors. The situation is in control. Hansot is observing strike today. Police has filed case against a mob of over 200 people in connection with yesterday’s incident of communal violence. District administration has asked telecom companies to halt internet and mobile messaging service to prevent spread of rumors.
