Noted economist Jagdish Bhagwati today paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel at Gandhinagar and lauded ‘the Gujarat Model’ of development.

In her tweets after the meeting, Patel said Bhagwati appreciated the Gujarat model of development as well as the steps taken by the state government for women empowerment and girl child education.

They discussed the ways to bring about inclusive growth and take Gujarat ahead, she added.

1st Convocation function of the Kamdhenu University

Gandhinagar, Thursday:

The 1st Convocation function of the Kamdhenu University will be held at Karmyogi Bhawan, sector-10, Gandhinagar on January 24, 2015, at 15:00 hours.

The convocation function will be chaired by Gujarat Governor and Chancellor of the University Mr. O. P. Kohli. While, Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel will also be present at the function.

While, Gujarat’s agriculture, cooperative, animal-husbandry and fishery minister Mr. Babubhai Bokhiriya will be the special guest of the function.
