Ahmedabad

There’s scare of swine flu everywhere, added to this the district collector has made is mandatory to distribute masks to participants in public functions. At public gathering, people are seen wearing mask as protection against possible infection of swine flu in 10 to 40% range. However in NRG function held at Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry almost all people were seen wearing masks. In school function at Tagore hall held in presence of Chief Minister, Mayor and others majority of people were seen wearing masks. In Governor’s function on Gandhian theme in Rajkot, fewer people were wearing masks as the function was held in open. At sports festival of differently abled people in Ahmedabad, couple of women participants were seen wearing masks. Actually, any surgical mask doesn’t serve purpose. There needs to be special masks for protection, but people miss that point. Also disposal of mask is important. In many cases, people keep handkerchief for protection.
