Unseasonal rains visit Gujarat again, may stay for two more days

Parts of Gujarat today again received unseasonal rains due to western disturbances.
One person was dead due to strike of lightening at Sarla village near Bavla.
Hailstorm was experienced in parts of Nadiad town of central Gujarat and in parts of Tapi district of South Gujarat.
Moderate rain was experienced in Mandvi in Kutch district.
Entire coastal Saurashtra witnessed strong winds. At Anand in central GUjarat, hoardings broke down due to strong winds.
Dhari and Savarkundla belt of southern Saurashtra witnessed heavy rain. Dhari-Khambha state highway had to be closed due to felling of trees.
Bhavnagar, Diu, Padra, Bharuch, Veraval, Mangrol, Dhandhuka, Vadodara are other parts of Gujarat that received showers.
Jayant Sarkar, Director of Ahmedabad office of Indian Metereological Department(IMD) had predicted light rains at isolated places across Gujarat on 13-14 March.
Farmers are worrying due to frequent spells of unseasonal showers that damage their standing crops.
