Diamond Aeronautics to start Surat-Rajkot daily flights from March 27

Surat based private airlines Diamond Aeronautics will start Surat-Rajkot daily chartered plane service from 27 March.
While road journey between Rajkot and Surat takes 8 hours and rail journey takes 6 hours, the flight service will take just 50 minutes. It will be convenient option for businessmen involved in diamond, manufacturing industries and small and medium scale units.
Diamond will operate one flight daily between two cities for six days a week. Diamond will use 9-seater plane for this service. One-way cost per passenger will be Rs. 5,000. Booking of this service will start from 19 March.
The flight will leave Surat at 7.00 am and reach Rajkot at 8.00 am. It will leave Rajkot at 8.15 am and reach Surat at 9.15 am.
Diamond presently operates multiple daily flight between Surat and Bhavnagar. It had sought permission to operate between Surat and Rajkot.
