Kandla Port Trust to build Oil Jetty, appoint consultant for Smart City project

Kandla Port Trust(KPT) will set up a new oil jetty.
This decision was taken in KPT meeting at Vadinar on Monday.
The new jetty will come up at estimated cost of Rs 72 crore.
KPT will build and operate this jetty on its own.
KPT meeting gave node for its contribution of Rs 7.02 crore to new Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) on railway connectivity to ports.
KPT meeting gave nod for appointment of German firm Mackenzie as consultant for Smart City project.
KPT in its meeting also took decision that it will restructure two defunct jetties number 12 and 15. New tenders will be floated for this project. To operate these jetties after restructuring, KPT will give priority to earlier operators.
KPT has regained control over 44 plots, lease of which were canceled. The meeting took decision to issue tender for these plots.
