Nadiad Love Jihad case: court rejects bail plea of accused

Nadiad love jihad case accused, bootlegger Masum Mahida’s bail plea was rejected by district court. Victim girl’s father sought brain mapping test and CID crime probe against Mahida.

Mahida had filed plea for bail, in response to which, father of victim girl told court that Mahida’s ‘nikah’ was illegal since the signature of bride’s father in nikahnama was fake. Not only this but the signature of Kazi and lawyer were same.

Victim girl’s father submitted evidences related to this before court.

He said the witnesses shown in nikahnama were not present at location of nikah. The documents and signatures are fake.

He alleged that local police had good terms with Mahida who has been earlier arrested in various offenses. Therefore the probe should be assigned to CID Crime, he added.

Victim girl’s father further stated that if Masum Mahida’s call details are checked, it will reveal nexus of government officers, police officers and political leaders.

He also demanded Mahida to be shifted to some other jail outside the district as he has influence at present jail in Bilodara.
