IAF, GoG briefing on latest flood rescue/relief figures

According to details shared by Wing Commander Dinesh Vaswani, four MI 175V5 helicopters from Jamnagar were pressed into continuous operation for providing relief material and recce of Gujarat state.
A total of 3,62,000 food packets were air dropped over 101 villages in Banaskantha and Patan districts.
The Minister of State for Health Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Chief Secretary of Gujarat Shri GR Aloria along with their team were provided IAF helicopter for carrying out an aerial survey over all the affected areas. They also oversaw live air dropping of food packets during their recce.
According to Government of Gujarat statement 125 roads and power supply to 2204 villages has been restored. 1982 people are treated, 9,543 people are shifted to safer laces. 27 JCB 107 tractors, 15 dumper trucks are at work. 7 satellite phones are given to non-connected areas. Contact has been established to 97 villages . NDRF-SRP-IAF have rescued 3,032 people. 10 lakh food packets/water pouch have been sent to affected areas.
