Ahmedabad Metro rail project suffers damage due to Patidar violence

Ahmedabad Metro rail project has suffered major damage as locals in Vastral area of east Ahmedabad removed 3 km long barricades on both sides of road and torched JCB machine, generator set and other equipments on the site of the project. Ground breaking for ambitious metro rail project was performed in Vastral area by Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in the month of March this year. First six km works of this project is going to be completed by September 2016 as per the announcement made during inaugural function. The project is likely to delay due to this incident.
