The Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST) is mulling to start facility of ‘time darshan’ on the lines of Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh and Vaishnodevi temple in Jammu and Kashmir at the famous Shirdi shrine.
After the ongoing Kumbh Mela concludes, a team of senior officials of the trust will visit both these places to study the system of ‘time-darshan’, SSST’s executive officer Bajirao Shinde told PTI.
A report in this regard will be prepared and submitted to the trust’s three-member committee. Thereafter, a decision will be taken on how to implement the system, he said.
In ‘time-darshan’, devotees are given a particular time slot when they can come at the shrine. These time slots are booked by the visiting devotees.
Meanwhile, SSST has also sent a proposal to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to provide security to the shrine, the officer said.
At present, the shrine has its own security personnel and police personnel from Ahmednagar rural police also guard the Shrine.
Thousands of devotees including foreigners throng the shrine daily.
