Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in presence of union minister Hansraj Ahir today said that the state of Gujarat wants imposition of critical zone in industrial pockets of Ankleshwar, Vapi and Vatva to be lifted. It should be mentioned that due to heavy pollution, union Environment ministry has imposed ban on expansion of industrial units and introduction of new industrial units in these areas of Gujarat for last several years. The Chief Minister while speaking at the inauguration function of IndiaChem which is being held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar said she would wish the ban to be lifted by November 6, or during her visit to Delhi on November 6 she would make representation before the ministers in connection with this. At the same time, the Chief Minister also asked Chemical industrialists present in the hall to see that they obey all environmental rules. Anandiben asked industrialists to gain knowledge from IndiaChem and implement it in Gujarat, “or then Andhra Pradesh is there(to gain as rival of Gujarat)”, she added.
