Upcoming elections in Gujarat include the election of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, Pethapur Municipality and Choryashi assembly seat.

Pethapur is small town located next to the state capital Gandhinagar. Present term of Pethapur Municipality is going to end on February 27. Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation’s present term is going to end in the month of April next year, but polling may take place earlier along with Pethapur Municipality election. While delimitation of Pethapur Municipality is complete, the state urban development department has just started the process of new delimitation of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.

In south Gujarat, just next to the city of Surat, Choryashi assembly seat will witness by-election by February next year. Sitting BJP MLA Rajabhai passed away this year. Bypoll therefore has to be held in six months period. Dates for bypoll are going to be announced soon.
