Gujarat govt Okays 66 acre crocodile park/garden project in Vadodara

Gujarat’s cultural capital Vadodara will have a crocodile park and a big garden next to Vishwamitri river.

Sharing the details of this project, local MLA and minister Shri Saurabh Patel in a statement today said that the state Chief Minister has given green signal for allocation of state government owned 66 acre low lying land located next to Vishwamitri river to the Vadodara Municipal Corporation(VMC) to develop a garden and a crocodile park there.

Patel said, “thanks to this decision, the citizens of Vadodara will not face the problems due to presence of crocodiles anmore.”

Not just that but the decision will also play a major role for the cause of conservation of crocodiles.

A big garden under crocodile project will create a new place for entertainment activities for the citizens, he added.

Rs 10 crore allocation has been made in present year’s budget for this work, the minister further said.
