Ahmedabad

After success with RIL group employees, vendors, and partners, JioMoney is now available for download on Android or iOS phone, and will help user to go cashless. The mobile wallet application, brought by Reliance Jio, will allow user to make payments (either online or face to face) while on the go, using nothing but smartphone.

JioMoney app launch comes after the Jio Chat application, also brought by Reliance Jio, a couple of months ago. So far, the app was under a trial phase, which seems to have gone off successfully, just like Jio Chat, which garnered a couple of hundred thousand users in a few weeks.

JioMoney allows the user to do mobile and DTH recharge, make everyday payments, and send or receive money. It also allows payment of insurance premiums and others, through its extensive tie-ups. All this can be done on the go, and through a secure payment system, making it all the more convenient to keep those valuable cards at home safe, replacing it with this mobile-wallet, which will also help track spending and manage finances.

On Google Play Store, the app is described thus, “Make bill payments for MSEB, BSES, BEST, Mahanagar Gas, Gujarat Gas, GEB, and others. Do your mobile recharge and pay bills for Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL, Reliance, MTNL, Aircel, Uninor, Tata Docomo.” Apart from these, JioMoney Wallet will allow users to make online shopping payments at leading stores such as Archies, Bookmyshow, Clarks, Groupon, Imagica, Starbucks and many more.

The app allows the user various modes of usage: Users can pay the merchant through a Jio Money card using the app or through any other credit/debit card connected to the mobile-wallet, seamlessly and instantly. The users also have an option of opening a Digital Bank Account or linking their existing account to the app, making it convenient to transfer money safely.
