Senior Patidar community leader and businessman Mahesh Savani, who had played the role of mediator between jailed PAAS leader Hardik Patel and the state government, today said that half of the conveners of the outfit don’t want to see him out of the prison.
Talking to a Gujarati news channel Mr. Savani also lashed out at the jailed patidar quota stir leader for his frequently changing statements and stand saying that it was causing damage to him. The outfit’s leaders also don’t have unity among them. Half of them seemingly want that Hardik should remain inside the jail, he said.
Mr Savani said that Hardik was also apparently fearful that if the agitation is resolved without his coming out of jail, what would happen to him.
He also said that he (Savani) personally was against the system of reservation. The government and our community both did not tackle the agitation in straightforward way in the beginning.
On the recent word of war between Hardik and BJP MP Vitthal Radadia, Mr. Savani said that Radadia should be given a thumbs up for his reply.
