IIMA hosts discussions with five Ambassadors and High Commissioners

As part of Ministry of External Affairs’ outreach to states, five Ambassadors and High Commissioners of India in various countries who are on a three day visit to Gujarat visited IIMA for an interactive meeting with the faculty.
Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Ambassador of India to Finland; Ms. Shamma Jain, Ambassador of India to Panama; Dr. Ketan Shukla, High Commissioner of India to Botswana; Dr. T. Suresh Babu, Ambassador designate to Mongolia; and Mr Sandeep Arya, High Commissioner of India to Tanzania visited the prestigious B-school yesterday, the day of beginning of their thee day trip to Gujarat.
Prof Ashish Nanda, Director, IIMA, hosted the distinguished guests and was joined by Prof Errol D’Souza, Dean (Faculty), Prof Arvind Sahay, Dean (Alumni and External Relations), Prof Ajay Pandey, Chairperson, School of Public Policy Planning Group, Prof Sebastian Morris, Chairman, Executive Education Programme and Prof Ajeet Mathur, Chairman, Centre for Gender Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity.
The discussions, which followed a campus visit, involved exchange of ideas to initiate academic cooperation in higher education between IIMA and the countries represented by the Heads of the Foreign Missions.
The deliberations led to identification of the four potential areas to further academic cooperation, Foreign students’ participation in IIMA;s programmes, Faculty exchange to support research collaboration, Executive Education programmes and Distance learning programmes.
