After withdrawal of political sanyas decision, Kamat to rejoin Gujarat Congress activities from next week

Ahmedabad: Senior Congress leader Gurudas Kamat, also in-charge of the party in Gujarat, who had resigned from the party last month and later withdrew it, will be here on a two day visit on July 11 and 12 and will also participate in the extended executive meet of the party in his first visit of the state post his ‘resignation episode’.
Party spokesperson Manish Doshi today said that Mr. Kamat, national General Secretary of the party who is also in-charge of the Congress affairs in Rajasthan, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, would have a marathon meeting with various activists, leaders,representatives of NGOs and experts from different fields to discuss Gujarat related issues from 1030 am to 0430 pm on July 11 at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, the state headquarter of the party situated in Paldi here.
On July 12 he would participate in the extended executive meeting of the Party to be held in Sindhu Bhavan off SG Highway which would also be attended by state president Bharatsinh Solanki, Leader of Opposition in the Gujarat Assembly Shankarsinh Vaghela, Party MLAs and other office bearers, he said.
Kamat, who had resigned from the party citing personal reasons in the first week of June had later on June 23 withdrew it saying he re-thought after several party leaders convinced him to do so.
