About the author: Savi Sharma is a simple, 23-year-old girl from Surat who quit CA to pursue her dream to write and self-publish her debut novel, Everyone Has A Story. She went on to sell more than 5,000 copies on Amazon alone during the initial launch.
Westland acquired this bright girl as an author for a two-book deal and published the book in June 2016 in a brand new cover. That’s not all. Within weeks of publishing this edition, the book has gone into reprint. The Book has also been featured on Top 10 Nielsen Bestseller list.
With a phenomenal fan following of over one lac fifty thousan fans on her Facebook page, Savi’s book remains a bestseller on Amazon till date.
Savi is based out of Surat, but the reach that her book has managed to garner has been extraordinary. Commenting on this association with Westland she says, “People say that getting your debut novel published is the most difficult thing. You will have to wait for months, face rejections and even if you get a publisher, you won’t be able to make a living out of it. But trust me, it’s not true. What you really need is a good story that your readers will fall in love with – a story that can inspire people. If you have that, there are great publishers out there who would love to tell your story.”
She adds, “After the initial success of my self-published book, I emailed Westland and few other top publishers to see if they’d be interested in republishing my book. To my surprise, I received replies from all of them. They all loved my book, but for me it was important to see who would market my book really well, and Westland stood right on the top. They really understood me and my book.”
