Change in govt gives some extra work to Morbi district administration

Rajkot: Sudden change of leadership in Gujarat has given some extra work to Morbi district administration.
Over 250 hoardings featuring outgoing Chief Minister Anandiben Patel’s picture are now being removed so that they can be replaced with new Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani’s face.
Morbi is going to host state level Independence day function this year. Over 250 big size hoardings, 1,000 smaller hoardings, 500 posters, 400 rickshaw banners were ready with Anandiben Patel’s picture. As Anandiben Patel stepped down from the post of Chief Minister and Vijay Rupani has replaced her, the district administration has suspended the process of putting posters and now in correction mode.
As per tradition established by then Chief Minister Narendra Modi, number of ground breaking and inauguration events are lined up ahead of the Independence day in entire Morbi district between 1-15 August. Earlier scheduled inaugurations and ground breaking functions that were to be held in presence of ministers are suspended due to change in government.
