Pakistani goes missing in Delhi

New Delhi: A 43-year-old Pakistani national has gone missing from his hotel room here, police said.
Mohammad Salim had arrived here in a group of 140 Pakistanis on July 22. The group was staying at hotels in Central Delhi’s Nabi Karim area, said a police officer.
A day before their departure on July 27, when the companions of Salim went to take him for a last bus ride of the city, he was found missing from his hotel. Later, the hotel staff informed police.
It was found that Salim went missing along with his belongings.
A case was registered in this regard and a manhunt has been launched to trace him, police said.
Apart from Delhi Police, central agencies were also looking for him due to his mysterious disappearance just at a time when security in the national capital has been beefed up due to the Independence Day celebrations.
Salim was said to be a resident of Lahore where he ran a grocery shop, police added.
