Sarangpur: Presented here are the pictures of Sarangpur BAPS Mandir campus in which Pramukh Swami’s last rites are taking place in presence of thousands of devotees and dignitories including Mahant Swami, Swami Ramdev, LK Advani, Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, State BJP Chief Jitubhai Vaghani among others. Two persons who were last to pay respect to Shri Pramukh Swami before his body were Ramdev and Advani. Pramukh Swami’s body was then placed at funeral place which is located in straight line opposite the Shastriji Maharaj Smruti Mandir and the main temple. Two persons who delivered speech before funeral were Ishwarcharan Swami and Baba Ramdev. Ishwarcharan Swami spoke about how Pramukh Swami himself had chosen the place of his funeral, so that his eye sight would be on the God in Sarangpur Mandir and his Guru’s eye sight will be on him. The funeral place was covered with white curtains from all sides before body could be placed on sandal wood for cremation. Swaminarayan Mantra were chanted during this period. Later the funeral place was uncovered. Before cremation, aarti was performed by Mahan Swami and other sants from BAPS side and Baba Ramdev, Advani, Amit Shah, Rupani, state BJP president Vaghani and Congress leader Siddharth Patel on dignitaries side.
