Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) employees and pensioners will get benefits of 7th pay commission.

As many as 18,000 employees and about 15,000 pensioners will benefit from this decision. While pensioners will get increase in pay from 1st October in range of Rs 2,000 to Rs 8,000, the employees will have increase in salary in range of Rs 3,000 to Rs 15,000 from 1st October.

AMC run V.S. and other hospitals, Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service(AMTS), MJ library, School Board and other organizations are also to be covered under this benifit.

AMC will have Rs 165 crore annual additional burden following this decision.
