CM Vijay Rupani makes several announcements for tribal Gujarat

Vyara: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in his speech at Vyara in tribal populated Tapi district of South Gujarat today made several announcements for tribal people of Gujarat. He said these decisions were taken just in a single meeting which was held couple of days ago in capital Gandhinagar in presence of MoS in Centre Jashwantsinh Bhabhor.
– There are over 20,000 sickle cell anemia patients in tribal areas. The government will give Rs 500 per month to each patient for nutritious food. This is in addition to free medical treatment that is extended by government.
– Eklavya residential schools will have fully paid teachers. Vacant posts will be filled. I am giving approval for same today.
– Government will give 90% SOR money to Ashram Shalas.
– Government hostels and residential schools that are functioning in rented buildings will get own buildings. The State government will give land for that.
– Ashram Shalas in tribal Gujarat are upto standard 7th only. After that students have to go to other schools. I am today giving standard 8th permission here.
– At present there are dry hostels where meal is not catered to students. There will be not a single dry school anymore in tribal area. Meal facility will be extended.
– We will initiate works for Samras hostels each having capacity of 10,000 students with free stay this month.
– We are thinking about mechanism to ensure proper tribal representation in cooperative sector.
