Shankar Chaudhary’s panel makes clean sweep in Banas Bank election by winning all 19 seats

Palanpur: The panel of Minister of State and Banaskantha MLA Shankar Chaudhary’s has made a clean sweep in Banas Bank election. Chaudhary’s panel has won 19 out of 19 seats in Banas Bank election, results of which were clear yesterday.
Out of 19 seats, 17 were won by Shri Shankar Chaudhary’s panel unopposed while 2 seats of Deesa and Vadgam were contested and won by the panel led by Chaudhary in the election held later.
Reacting to his panel’s spectacular clean sweep, the minister said, “this is victory of more than 3.5 lakh farmers and the result of farmers friendly policies of Shri Narendra Modi led government in centre and Shri Vijay Rupani led government in State.”
The Banaskantha District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. known as Banas Bank has been providing the banking facilities to the people of Banaskantha District, Radhanpur & Santalpur blocks of Patan district since 1959.
Shri Chaudhary the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Environment (All Independent charges) and Urban Development became the Chairman of Banaskantha District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd for the first time in 2006; he is undefeated since then.
Chaudhary is also the acting chairman of The Banas Dairy, Asia’s largest dairy and Vice Chairman of the Gujarat State Co-operative Bank.
