Surat: Altogether nine people including a Deputy Mamlatdar were nabbed during a raid on a booze party in Adajan area of the city late last night, police said today.

ACP (control) J K Pandya today said that based on a tip off a raid was conducted on Amrapali Row House.

Nine people including Deputy Mamlatdar Vinod R Maisuriya (52) were nabbed from there. Their blood samples were taken in the civil hospital for test regarding presence of alcohol/liquor in it.

Most of those nabbed were blood relatives of each other.

The matter was being investigated.
