Medical education for female students to be made completely free: Gujarat Budget

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government will offer free medical education to female students. Finance Minister Nitin Patel while presenting budget today in the assembly said female students at present get assistance matching to 50% of total fees under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlamban Yojana(MYSY). The government now also bear balance 50% fee from Kanya Kelavani Nidhi in self finance colleges. This would make medical education for girls free. The government has allocated Rs 1100 crore for Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlamban Yojana this year.
