Narendra Modi to visit Somnath temple for the first time as Prime Minister on 8 March

Somnath: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be visiting Somnath on March 8. This will be Shri Modi’s first visit to Somnath after becoming Prime Minister of India.
Shri Narendra Modi will perform puja of Somnath dada.
District collector of Gir Somnath Dr. Ajaykumar today held a meeting in this regard which was attended by district development officer, district police chief and senior district officials.
Among the things discussed in this meeting were traffic regulation, arrangements in Sagar darshan and VIP guest house, preparations at helipad and cleanliness.
It should be mentioned that the Prime Minister will be on two days visit to Gujarat on 7-8 March. On first day of his visit on 7 March he will visit Bharuch and Dahej in central Gujarat where he will attend theee programmes. He will inaugurate a new river bridge over Narmada near Bharuch on Ahmedabad – Mumbai national highway. He will address a gathering in Agriculture campus in this connection and move to Dahej where he will be inaugurating the first phase of OpAL petrochemical unit by ONGC.
On the next day, the Prime Minister will attend a convention of women sarpanchs at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. He will later fly to Somnath for darshan and puja.
