Gujarat polls: Is ‘Congress Aave Chhe’ slogan inspired by Pankaj Oil ad campaign?

Ahmedabad: Is the title of Gujarat Congress campaign for assembly polls ‘Congress Aave chhe’ inspired by Pankaj Oil advertisement campaign?

In recent past ‘Pankaj Oil’ which is into making of cooking oil had run advertisement campaign across Ahmedabad through number of hoardings on main roads of city. Each hoarding would project a face of woman accompanied by a line: Aave Chhe (which means ‘coming’ in Gujarati). After few days, the suspense was revealed on same hoardings and third word was added: Pankaj Aave Chhe(Pankaj is coming).

Gujarat BJP Media Cell convener Dr Harshad Patel today morning in his tweet pointed out that copying oil advertisement will not be able to make any benefit for Congress. He in his Gujarati tweet further added that copying someone’s line is habit of Congress. He said this in reference to earlier incident in which Rahul Gandhi had used ‘Main nahin hum’ line to launch Congress party’s year 2014 Lok Sabha general elections campaign. The same line was on earlier occasion used by then Chief Minister Narendra Modi for his ‘Team Gujarat’ meeting.

BJP has earlier made fun of Congress slogan ‘Congress Aave Chhe’ (Coming) by saying that whenever election season arrives, Congress comes and whenever election season is over, Congress disappears.
