Seven hospitals across Gujarat suspended from PMJAY

Gandhinagar: Seven hospitals in the state have been suspended from the list of facilities authorized to provide healthcare services under PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat Yojana). Among these, three are from Ahmedabad, and one each is from Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Gir Somnath.
The suspended hospitals are Naritva Hospital, Shiv Hospital, and Khyati Multispecialty Hospital in Ahmedabad, Nihit Baby Care Children Hospital in Rajkot, Jivan Jyot Hospital in Gir Somnath, and Sunshine Global Hospitals in Vadodara and Surat.
Additionally, specialist doctors like Dr. Hiren Mashru (Pediatrician), Dr. Ketan Kalariya (Radiation Oncologist), Dr. Mihir Shah (Surgical Oncologist), and Dr. Prashant Vazirani (Cardiologist) have also been suspended.
This action from the authorities comes in the aftermath of the death of two patients who died after Dr. Prashant Vazirani performed unnecessary angioplasty on them at Khyati Hospital, allegedly to earn money from the PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat Yojana). DeshGujarat
