Ahmedabad: Gujarat Congress today in its release shared the details of a warrant issued against the State BJP president Jitubhai Vaghani in his business related case.The Congress party also released supporting legal documents.

The Congress party’s statement issued here said, ‘Eva group of companies in which Jitu Vaghani is partner had purchased land from Volvo Steel(Stain Rose Steel Ltd) in auction by the High Court. The land was purchased on 27 August 2010 in Rs 10.85 crore and it was later sold to Mumbai based Novelty Power Infratech company(whose Director is Mr. Owaisi Shakir Nuri) for even more price. Rs 3 crore sum was received by the company for this land deal. As title clear process took longer time, the deal was canceled and Eva Group of company had offered to return the sum of Rs 3 crore with interest in instalments. First instalment was fixed for Rs 24 lakh for which a cheque was issued but when it was deposited in Mumbai based bank, the cheque bounced. A criminal case in this connection was filed in Metropolitan Magistrate court number 58 under the Negotiable Instrument Act section 138 ad 141. Eva Group’s partner Jitu Vaghani was one of the accused in this case. Jitubhai had maintained that the case was false and Eva Group of paid back the amount. He went to higher court, but after hearing both parties and scrutiny of documents, a criminal revision appeal of Vaghani and others was rejected. Later Mumbai court had issued bailable warrant against Vaghani and others twice but Gujarat Police had returned it. In view of complainants’ plea, Mumbai court had recently issued non-bailable warrant and asked Mumbai cops to go to Bhavnagar with it. On 2nd and 3rd April, Mumbai police tried to hand over warrant to Vaghani and his partners(Bharatbhai Patel, Sandip Prabhudassoparia) in Bhavnagar but Vaghani was not found at home and therefore panchnama procedure was done.’

BJP’s version

Meanwhile, reacting to Congress party’s allegation, Gujarat BJP spokesperson Shri Bharat Pandya said, the cheque was issued earlier by the company, but when it was found that it was not cleared, the sum of Rs 19 lakh was paid through RTGS on the very next day(supporting document attached below). Complainant Owaisi is concealing this fact. Issuance of warrant is just part of process of attending the court procedure. Shri Vaghani has clean image and he enjoys great prestige in business circles. Eva company’s partners are fighting this case in Mumbai court and no decision has been arrived yet. Shri Vaghani is one of four partners of Eva company. Due to non-payment of money, the deal was forfeited in Bhavnagar court and Rs 19 lakh cheque was deposited in the bank. As the cheque failed to clear, Rs 19 lakh sum was paid on the very next day through RTGS to Owaisi. Owaisi has received money. He is concealing this fact and doing all this for money as Vaghani is on important political position. Owaisi Shakir Nur Saiyed has committed frauds in many businesses with many people. He wanted to commit fraud with Eva company too but that has not been possible legally. He is therefore on direction of Congress party unsuccessfully trying to defame the State BJP president and harm his prestige. As Congress has no issue in hand, it targets individuals through falsehoods and social media gimmicks.
