Ahmedabad: BJP national president Amit Shah’s recent visit to Ahmedabad was in news for two reasons. One reason was arrival of baby girl in his family at Zydus hospital. Amitbhai’s daughter in-law Rishita gave birth to a baby girl in Zydus Hospital. Shah’s only son Jay had tied knot with his college-mate Rishita over two years ago. Leaving behind his busy schedule, Shah rushed here to visit the hospital to have the first look of the baby.

Second reason for which Amitbhai’s Ahmedabad visit was in news was his reported meeting with Maharashtra Congress leader Narayan Rane and his son Nitesh Rane at Amitbhai’s bungalow in Thaltej area of Ahmedabad along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

This visit was secret, but couldn’t remain out of media glare. Fadnavis arrived at Ahmedabad in the evening and left the city late in the night in a special plane while Ranes left Ahmedabad next morning in flight. Amit Shah also left Ahmedabad next morning, but in opposite direction, for Delhi. It is believed that Shah back in Delhi would speak to party’s organizational general secretary, Prime Minister and other concerned persons about possibilities of Rane’s induction to BJP and its timing.
