Rupang Bhatt, Somnath: Boats with full-size cut outs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders were sailing in the Arabian sea next to the Somnath mandir. One boat had also arrangement of lights in shape of 150+.

In fact 150+ looked like a theme of two-day Gujarat BJP state executive meeting which began today at Somnath in Sagar Darshan guest house, located just next to the Somnath mandir.

Political resolution taking pledge to win 150+ seats in upcoming 182-seat Gujarat assembly general elections was passed on the first day of state executive meet.

Chief Minister Rupani is scheduled to inaugurate new 3D sound and light show in the voice of actor Amitabh Bachchan at Somnath temple today evening. As lotus is BJP symbol, Somnath dada was worshiped with 500 lotuses at Somnath temple.

On the sidelines of two-day meet, Choryashi(Surat) MLA Narottam Patel announced, he would not contest assembly polls this year as he is already 81. He added that he will do all to make sure that BJP win the seat.

Chief Minister Rupani too spoke to media persons and gave replies to querries. When asked about Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming visit to Gujarat in tribal Dediapada on 1st of May, Rupani said he wished Rahul Gandhi visit Gujarat constantly because Congress loses elections wherever Rahul Gandhi’s visits take place. Congress won just 9 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav might be thinking that even his party sunk due to Rahul Gandhi. It’s Congress that needs to look into it. We are not concerned.

Rupani also commented on groupism in Gujarat Congress. He said, it seems Shankersinh Vaghela is weakening Gujarat Congress. He is blaming BJP to put pressure on Congress leadership.

The second and the last day of two-day BJP state executive at Somnath will tomorrow have national president Amit Shah’s presence. Shah is going to address concluding session of state executive. New state BJP incharge Bhupendra Yadav will take charge of his new responsibility tomorrow after darshan at Somnath temple in presence of Amit Shah.

Rupani said BJP is confident to achieve target of 150 seats.
