Gandhinagar: More Rahul Gandhi tour in Gujarat, more BJP will benefit, said Gujarat BJP today in a statement in connection with Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled 1st May visit to the state during which he is going to address a public meeting at Dediapada in tribal belt of Central/South Gujarat.

Gujarat BJP spokesperson Bharat Pandya said, mud-sledging targeting Gujarat and Narendra Modi’s leadership will trigger further bloom of lotus (BJP party symbol). More than 27 elections contested under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi resulted only into defeat of Congress party. Lastly, the Congress party lost Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) election. When Rahul toured Gujarat during 2014, the people of Gujarat overwhelmingly voted for BJP and elected BJP on all 26 Lok Sabha seats.

Pandya said, ‘while Prime Minister Narendra Modi works for welfare of people considering 125 crore people of India as his family, the Congress party only works with Gandhi-Nehru family in focus. It is because of this reason that Gujarat Congress had to pass a resolution seeking Rahul Gandhi’s elevation to party president post. Congress leaders visit Gujarat only to make false allegations against Gujarat and against the leadership of Gujarat. They visit Gujarat only to spread false propaganda. Congress vice president may make false allegations against Gujarat and BJP but he should at least congratulate the BJP for Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana and PESA act’.

Pandya further said, ‘then Chief Minister Narendra Modi implemented Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojana worth over Rs 17,000 crore and in the second phase worth over Rs 40,000 crore. Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojana has increased the facilities such as education, health, water, roads and employment through tribal belt spread between Unai to Ambaji in Gujarat. The BJP government led by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani recently implemented PESA act which gives right to forest produce. Congress is very upset with excellent success the Adivasi Gaurav Yatra led by State BJP president Jitubhai Vaghani achieved recently. Congress had to twice postpone its yatra for tribals and later its public meetings flopped too. The visit of Rahul Gandhi which was canceled earlier has been rearranged but tribal people know the Congress party very well and they are not going to mislead.
