Frustrated over crushing poll defeat in UP, Akhilesh was issuing cheap statement: Rupani

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today termed the statement of ex-CM of UP Akhilesh Yadav about the martyrdom of Gujarati soldiers on borders, an expression of frustration.
Talking to newsmen Rupani said that the statement of Yadav was a cheap one.
‘After the crushing defeat in the UP assembly polls, Akhilesh is in heavy frustration and that is why he was giving such cheap political statements,’ he said.
The Chief Minister said that Yadav was trying to malign the image of Gujarat, Gujarati people and PM Narendra Modi as he had done during his poll campaign.
‘It was a cheap political statement,’ he reiterated.
Notably, Akhilesh while talking to media had questioned that why no Gujarati was martyred on borders.
