24-room Surat Circuit House to be converted to 100-room facility

Surat: Circuit House which is also known as VIP guest house in Surat will dress a new look with bhoomi pujan performed for construction of a six-storey tower which shall have 50 rooms. The circuit house which is located on the bank of river Tapi is presently a two-storey structure with 8 AC and 16 non-AC – in total 24 rooms. Due to shortage of rooms the government has decided to build two towers – each having 50 rooms along with facilities such as swimming pool, gym, kitchen, gardening, VIP dining, conference hall, meeting room and parking area. Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel on Friday performed ground breaking for one of two buildings proposed. Once the construction of first tower is completed, the present two-storey structure of Surat circuit house building will be demolished and another six storey tower(50 rooms) will be built there. Both new buildings with total 100-room facility will be connected to each other later on.
