Some known faces attending Sam Samvedana sammelan despite of State Congress’s directive

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Congress had taken a stand that no party man should attend leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela’s Sam Samvedana sammelan in Gandhinagar today. However some Congress leaders were seen attending the function.
Mahisagar district party president who was present here said Shankersinh is still on the post of leader of opposition and there’s nothing wrong in attending his birthday bash.
Congress spokesperson Rekha Chaudhary said party has encroached upon freedom of party workers. Attending thif function is not anti-party activity.
Congress leader CJ Chavda who was personal secretary to Shankersinh Vaghela is also attending Sam Samvedana sammelan.
Patan district general secretary of Congress party is also attending this function.
Former Chief Minister Dileep Parikh who was made Chief Minister during Shankersinh’s RJP goevrnment tenure also attended the function.
Ahead of his arrival at Sam Samvedana sammelan, Shankersinh visited MLA quarters in Gandhinagar and held meeting ith MLAs Raghavji Patel, Kaminiba Rathod and CK Raolji.
Meanwhile Gujarat NCP leader Jayant Patel (Boskey) said cross voting in Presidential poll was purposefully done to defame Shankersinh Vaghela. He said he would go to Shankersinh’s birthday bash. He said he had spoken to Shankersinh last night over a phone call. He said the relation between NCP and Shankersinh is old and meeting will be held with him in future.
Update:
Both NCP MLAs Jayant Bosky and Kandhal Jadeja are attending the function.
Congress MLA Raghavji Patel is attending the function.
