Rupani distributes ‘Sudarshan Chakra – Tablet’ to students in Vadodara

Ahmedabad: With an aim to equip the young generations of Gujarat with world of knowledge power, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani distributed ‘Sudarshan Chakra – Tablet’ to them at very token price.
To provide best opportunities to the youths, the state government of Mr. Rupani has initiated the ambitious plan to distribute 3.50-lakh tablets, at a whooping cost of Rs. 200-Crore, among the students.
“The tablets would be given away to the students at a cost of Rs. 1,000/- per piece. The amount (Rs. 30-Crore) collected from the students would be utilized in providing free ‘WiFi’ in the campuses of the universities and colleges. Besides this, e-lectures and e-libraries would be strengthened, Mr. Rupani said at an Independence Day celebrations function held in Vadodara, today. He distributed 9276 tablets to the students. He also distributed the tablets to 1,500 students of Govindguru University, located in tribal areas.
On the eve of Independence Day, the Chief Minister called youths to strengthen the love for the nation as India is capable of giving be fitting reply to the evil designs of the terrorism and extremism, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Gujarat’s higher education minister, Mr. Jaydrathsinhji Parmar said, “The state government is aiming to make the students capable of ‘Job-Givers’ rather than ‘Job-Seekers’.
On the occasion, Prof. Parimal Vyas, vice-chancellor of MS University, handed over a cheque of Rs. 5-lakh to Mr. Rupani towards Chief Minister Relief Fund for the flood victims. And more than 25,000 people took pledge to donate their eyes.
Prominent among the others who attended the function included, minister of state for sports Mr. Rajendra Trivedi, Mayor Mr. Bharat Dangar, MP Ranjanben Bhatt, MLA Mr. Jitubhai Sukhadiya, Saurabhbhai Patel, Food Corporation’s Chairman Mr. Bhupendra Lakhawala and others.
