Met issues heavy rain warning in Gujarat for September 14, 15

Ahmedabad: Met department today issued another heavy rain warning for Gujarat for September 14 and 15.
Ahmedabd IMD center Director Jayanta Sarkar said that the spell of heavy rain mostly over isolated places across South Gujarat and adjoining union territory of Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli would be caused by a sytem developing over South West Madhya Pradesh.
However the spell of heavy rain at the fag end of monsoon was not likely to be a severe one.
Meanwhile some places across the state saw light to moderate rain today as well. Surat saw around one inch of rain while Amreli and Dhansura in Aravalli district also saw some rain. In the last 24 hours ending at 7am today a total of 30 talukas of 13 disricts saw light to moderate rain with highest 37 mm in Uchchhal taluka of Tapi district.
So far Gujarat has seen 105.33% rain this monsoon season.
