In back to back Gujarat visit, PM Modi to come again today

PM Narendra Modi will come on his second back to back Gujarat visit within a week, tomorrow during which on the second day ie September 17, which happens to be his birthday, he will dedicate the Sardar Sarovar Dam on river Narmada to the people.

Apart from this he would also physically review the progress of the statue of unity project about construction of 182 meter high statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Sadhu bet, an island in central Gujarat and also inaugurate a plant of Amreli District Cooperative Milk Producers Association or Amar Dairy one of the over a dozen such dairies associated with the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, the umbrella organization which owns brand Amul.

Modi had concluded his successful two day Gujarat visit on September 14 during which he had participated in various events including ground breaking of Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (Bullet Train) Project and 12 th India Japan Annual Summit apart from a grand 8 km long road show with visiting Japanese PM Shinzo Abe and his wife Akie Abe.

Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja today said that he along with DGP Mrs Geeta Johri and state IB chief Shivanand Jha inspected various sites in Kevadiya in Narmada district (where Sardar Sarovar Dam on Narmada was situated) and nearby Dabhoi in Vadodara district where PM Modi would participate in different events on September 17. Elaborate security arrangements are being made for these events.

A police official associated with the security said that a five tier security arrangement has been made for PM’s visit in Kevadiya and Dabhoi. Around 1600 police and other security personnel would remain present in Kevadiya while around 2500 would be in Dabhoi.

Media Convener of ruling BJP Harshad Patel today said that PM Modi would arrive at SBVPI Airport in Ahmedabad in the night tomorrow. He would make a night halt at Rajbhavan here. In the morning on his birthday the next day after taking the blessings of mother Hiraba in Gandhinagar he would leave for Kevadiya by chopper. In Kevadiya he would do the puja of Narmada in presence of union minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and that of some other NDA states and then dedicate the dam to the people. The 30 gates of the dam were closed a few weeks back increasing its height and water storage capacity along with electricity production through Hydel power projects associated with it and marking the completion of the dam construction work. He would also do the physical review of the progress of the statue of unity project.

Patel said that PM Modi would them go to Dabhoi to address a meeting in the college ground there on the occasion and also to mark the end the Ma Narmada yatras.

‘Later that day he would go to Amreli to inaugurate the new building of APMC there and also a plant of Amar Dairy and launch some of its products including honey,’ he added informing that the PM would return to Delhi that night itself.
