Jafrabad: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has created history by winning all 28 seats of Jafrabad municipality unopposed. Coastal town Jafrabad has total 28 seats in local civic body. As local Congress president joined BJP, Congress party could not field any candidate in 28 seats. BJP candidates were therefore declared victorious on 24 of 28 seats last week. However on 4 other seats, independent candidates were in fray against BJP. Now after the last day of withdrawal of nomination forms, even independent candidates on those four seats have withdrawn their nomination forms. This has made BJP candidates victorious unopposed on all 28 seats. Local BJP cadres attribute this victory to former MLA and prominent Koli leader Hirabhai Solanki who is younger brother of minister of state Parshottam Solanki. Hira Solanki surprisingly lost Jafrabad assembly poll last year. Meanwhile, Solanki’s recently posted video (captured abroad) with Cheetah is viral on social media.
