Congress couldn’t find candidate in Leader of Opposition’s area: Gujarat BJP

Gandhinagar: State BJP today said the Congress party has not found candidate to contest in local polls even in the area of the leader of opposition.
The BJP in a note said: today was the last day to file nomination for district panchayat and taluka panchayat elections. BJP candidate Ratiben Khunt has been elected unopposed on Untvad seat of Babra taluka panchayat of Amreli district which is reserved for Schedule Tribe candidate.
Earlier in Amreli district, BJP had secured all 28 seats of Jafrabad municipality unopposed as Congress failed to field even a single candidate and independents withdrew nominations in support of BJP candidates.
Leader of opposition Paresh Dhanani hails from Amreli district.
