Next goal to win World Championship in Sweden and Asian Games: Harmeet Desai in Surat

Surat: Harmeet Desai, an Indian table-tennis player who won gold medal recently in Commonwealth games at Gold Coast in Australia said his next goal is victory in World Championship in Sweden.
Desai who was accorded grand welcome on his arrival at hometown Surat yesterday said his next focus would be the world championship in Sweden followed by Asian Games in August.
He said India had reached quarter final in last Asian Games but lost by one point. The team is in full form now and hopeful to get medal, he added.
Desai said his chances to represent India in Tokyo 2020 will be in accordance to his performance in World Championship Sweden and Asian Games.
Desai said when he was playing in Commonwealth games, Indian Sports minister Rajyavardhansinh Rathod was present there in the stadium. After the match, Indian External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj had sent bouquet.
