Bhuj court rejects pleas of farmers against land acquisition by Railways

Bhuj: Local court here has rejected the pleas of farmers in land acquisition related case.
As many as 23 farmers from Sukhpar village had challenged the land acquisition by Railways for laying a new railway line between Bhuj and Naliya in border district Kutch.
The farmers were given Rs 1.20 per square meter compensation for acquired land which they thought was not enough. They were seeking Rs 100 per square meter compensation.
