Two arrested for anchoring a ship without permission at Magdalla Jetty of ABG; measures taken to prevent damage to ONGC bridge

Surat: Dumas police has booked four for anchoring a ship on ABG Shipyard jetty in Magdalla without permission of Gujarat Maritime Board(GMB).
Delhi based Fox Energy Ltd’s supply vessel MV Shunter was on 20th May, anchored at ABG Shipyard jetty without permission of Jetty official and Maritime Board, following which one Rameshkumar had field complaint against Captain of the ship, administrative manager, project manager of Fox Energy and others. Dumas police has arrested two accused.
The ship has caused danger for nearby ONGC bridge as it may collide with the bridge during high tide. The ship can’t be removed from jetty until 4.5 ft high-tide which is expected on 13 June. To prevent any damage to ONGC bridge, police has deployed to 1200 hp tugs as buffer. Two police men are deployed on ONGC bridge to keep watch on this ship.
